What a great time to be a first time home buyer! If you were wondering if this is the time to buy or build a new home I can tell you it is time!
It all started with low interest rates. With 30 year fixed mortgage rates as low as 4.5% this year you can get so much more bang for your buck. If that was not already great, the government is now offering $8,500 to first time home buyers to be used on a new home. The most amazing thing is that you can use it at closing. This is great if coming up with cash for a down payment was an issue. Combine that with building material costs being at an all time low you couldn't find a better time to buy.
